I remember thinking about this day when I first entered college. Half my friends at that time were gonna take me bar hopping and the other half has a tradition that the birthday boy/girl pays for dinner. Two years later, I stayed with the “Pays for dinner” group. So my parents are happy at least HAHA.

It’s 2AM and I’m gonna go to sleep dreaming about the LS I’m another year closer to getting hopefully in the future when I get a stable job and family.

Bar hopping is overrated, I’ll say as another college 21yo. Breweries are way more fun and some have Nintendo 64s. Plus tasty, tasty craft beer and food trucks.

Happy birthday bud!

I turned 21 back in October of ‘14, was supposed to go bar hopping but only made it from the party bus to the first bar. My friends got me way to sauced to make it much farther.

Bar hopping is overrated I think, however I do have a great time getting started at one bar and finishing at another, if you are at a school with a few decent bars. Staying at each one for a while gets a chance to get conversations and fun going instead of just downing a drink or two and moving on.

Also, having a nice beer when I go out for a quality dinner is one of the best things ever. Also, margaritas at happy hour at any restaurant with a half decent margarita.

Thanks HAHA. Also I’ve never heard of sauced before. There’s a bar close to school that everyone goes to so I might try that soon but I’ve responsibly tried drinking before (I was 21 LOL) and like, I didn’t “want” to get drunk. So. Does that make me weird.

I wouldn't say so. Sometimes I'm in the mood to get drunk, sometimes not. I come from heavily European/Eastern European origins, and drinking socially as to not get very drunk but to just have a good time runs in my blood (as does loving large amounts of vodka, per the Eastern Europe part). I have a few friends who choose not to drink at all really. Just because you're 21 doesn't mean you have to drink. That's the joy of college is you won't be judged for stuff like that. Just do what makes you feel most comfortable.
